BASICS !! - Why is only France the safe place?
A: It's a made-up site with made-up laws of physics and rules of the universe. I can't really say much except I thought it would be a unique place for the only safe place in the world to be. Would Wisconsin have been better? XP
- Does that mean I have to post in French?
A: Of course not! That's just the setting, but you certainly don't have to post anything in French if you don't feel comfortable doing so. Besides, not everyone can speak fluent French, so it would be hard to RP with full posts in another language o.O
- The rules say I have to post at least 200 words.. Do I REALLY have to?
A: Of course you have to! In fact, you should follow all rules. We all have that period of muse lapse, but there's a million things a person can to do reach 200 words! Most people reach this without even trying or knowing. If you are having trouble reaching 200 words, just PM me and we'll discuss what we can do
- What condition is France in?
A: It suffered some damage from the Quake, but nothing too serious. Buildings are still standing, yet are abandoned and ransacked from the looting and the vandals that have been destroying the country. If you want to talk about the condition or normal life, there are some loners wandering as well as some government officials. It isn't entirely safe to go out alone. Right now, the safesst place is the base. Most houses and buildings are abandoned since the government has buildings for people to stay.
- How's technology?
A: Basically the same as today with a few medical advances that aren't important enough to name. There are still iPods and such like that, but cell phones, the Internet, walkie talkies, and any other communication device does not work. Also, the day of the quake, places were vandalized and people were mugged. (What did you expect?) So finding such things like MP3 players and other high-tech things is pretty rare. If you have it, hide it!
- What happens if someone passes the country walls?
A: Uh.. you can't. There are troops guarding everything like crazy hell and there's no way you can get within five feet of the wall without being shot.. by several people. Nighttime? Even more secure.
- What's on the other side of the walls? Just dead land?
A: Tis be a secret ;3 But no
TEAMS AND SPIES !!
- Who chooses who is on which Team and why? Can we choose our own?
A: I do, that way everyone doesn't flood to one team and it's as balanced as can be. I would say no, you cannot pick your own Teams, however I do allow special exceptions x3 The reason I rarely let people pick their own teams is because it's more fun to be tossed in with a random group of characters instead of being grouped with all the ones you already know
- Who are the spies, and can I be one?
A: Spies are, well, spies! They are sent by the government to keep an eye on the 'teams' and report back to them. They live among a certain team instead of wandering around. That's the point of a spy, no? They do more, but I can't reveal too much about them at the moment. And they will be chosen later. If you are interested in one of your charries becoming one of these, just mention it in their application.
- What do Teams do, and why are they called that?
A: Teams are just clusters of people who are assigned to live with and take care of one another. They're like mini families, but strangers. I guess you can think of it as the first day of school in a new place: you don't really know anyone, but you have to tolerate the people around you and interact with them as some point. They are called that way for.. government reasons. Oh! Also, there are Team Leaders.
- Do people have to stay with their teams?
A: Yes, but not 24/7. The bare minimum of being with your Team is to sleep in the same building as them, meaning you can wander alone, if you dare, during the day. Anyone who wanders alone is most likely going to be taken back to the gov. base and re-sorted into another family. Those in Teams have already been sorted and accounted for in the survivor list.
- How do I become a Team Leader?
A: After a few teams have enough members, they will be randomly chosen. (Did you expect the government to do personality checks?) However, if you put 'yes' on the application where it asks if the characters would be alright in this position, it boosts your changes up to 90% o3o
CHARACTERS !!
- Does my character have to be French?
A: No. When everyone was warned of the upcoming disaster, people from around the world who believed it fled to France, some not even knowing the language. So there are French characters, but there are also refugees from other countries, cultures, etc.
- What kind of character can I make?
A: You can make a normal civilian who lives in a Team, a Team Leader, a spy for the government, just a regular government official, or other.
- Explain.
A: .. Okay.. Normal team members are just the people who either lived in France or came to it before the Great Quake. These are the people trying to put their lives together and they may or may not be looking for family and friends. The Team Leaders are the leaders of these groups with certain special privileges. The spies are spies for.. things that will be revealed later, obviously working for the government. Regular government officials can be the ones that guard the high walls of the country, ones that pass out food and supplies to the common people, secretaries, and normal non-crazy or dangerous jobs like that. More added as time goes! Feel free to ask questions on this thread
